Challenge

We need help for furniture for schools. There are a large number of school children in Ghana virtually sitting and writing on the bare floor. This picture is very pathetic and disturbing. We are currently seeking for your kind support to help provide over 3500 school children with furniture, books for a library and ICT in Savelugu and Tolon municipalities near Tamale in Ghana. We would be very grateful for any contribution that you are able to make towards helping these poor school children.

Solution

Our project is designed to help school children in rural Ghana receive school furniture, solar energy systems that will provide electricity for lighting, which will enable classes to be taught early in the morning or late at night. Electricity access will facilitate the introduction of ICTs into the classroom such as computers.

Long-Term Impact

We can ascertain at least five positive benefits related to the implementation of our project. 1. Rural school children will be studying sitting on chairs. 2.Facilitation of ICT in the classrooms. 3.Better school performance based on attendance, completion rates, and Education test scores. 4. Co-benefits such as improved sanitation and health, gender empowerment. 5. Gender empowerment and Resilience of Women.
